Neither of the two should solely choose where to go for the honeymoon. You two will be there with each other, right? Then why should the destination be opted single-handedly? Take some time out of the wedding preparations, sit down with this list, and decide on the destination together.
Aspen, Colorado
Aspen is a destination favored by adventure-loving couples who love winter sports like backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, and dog sledding. However, you don't necessarily have to visit Aspen during the winter. If you're looking to travel here when the weather's at its best, the months of summer provide gorgeous temperatures between 70s and 80s. There are many summer sports as well that you can take part in such as hiking (the Aspen Four-Pass Loop), llama trekking, river rafting, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Also, you can find the best prices on hotels, lodges, and B&B's here in the months of September and October. The months from November to March and July to end of August (peak travel times) are also suitable. Traveling around Aspen is convenient as you can easily rent a car, taxi, shuttle, or travel by bus. There are tons of restaurants, clubs, and lounges in downtown Aspen where cuisines from around the world are served. You can also enjoy the day going on jeep tours, hot air balloon rides, visiting galleries, or spending time shopping.

Big Sur, California
If you've traveled around California, you know that the entire state has diverse attractions that bring millions of tourist from around the world. Although Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Sacramento are favored by many tourists, there are other gorgeous places to be seen in the state; and one such place is Big Sur. The 72-mile coastal highway hugs the Pacific coast, making this place one of the best scenic destinations in the United States. Big Sur is home to major attractions like Bixby Creek Bridge (a 714 feet long and 260 feet high single-span bridge), lunch at Nepenthe with a view of the 50-mile coastline, 9 national parks (one of which is Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park that has an 80-foot waterfall dropping from the cliffs and going into the ocean) where you can hike, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary (267 miles of diverse marine ecosystem) where you can scuba dive, kayak, and see whales, and Caramel Mission Basilica (5-acre Roman Catholic mission church that has Spanish Colonial style architecture in Carmel).

Cape Cod, Massachusetts
With luxury oceanfront hotels, gorgeous cottages, and cozy B&Bs, Cape Cod is the perfect destination to enjoy the serene sights on your honeymoon. This 70-mile peninsula is home to around 115 sandy beaches with unspoiled coastline. You can visit Cape Cod in the months of April, May, September, October, and November. You can ride bicycles on the beach, go on whale watching, dolphin watching, and fishing tours, visit the John F. Kennedy Memorial, Cape Code National Seashore, go on boat tours where you can find striped bass, bluefish, shark, and tuna run, bird watching in the Audubon Society's Wildlife Sanctuary in Falmouth, Chatham Lighthouse, Nantuchet island, and Martha's Vineyard. Enjoy finger-licking seafood in some of the best restaurants in Cape Cod. Trust me, with Cape Cod, you cannot go wrong.

Las Vegas, Nevada
Las Vegas isn't just casinos, drinking, and showgirls; there's so much more to Las Vegas than most people assume. Even though the city is a clich for honeymooners, it can be turned around and made into a memorable time of your lives. You can either visit Las Vegas during the peak season between the months of March to May or September to November, or during the off-season between the months of December to mid-February. There are different kinds of shows playing every night in various hotels like Cirque Du Soleil shows, headliner shows, magic shows, tribute shows, and the adult shows. Walk up and down the Strip, eat fabulous meals in one of the hotels' gigantic buffets, watch concerts and cabarets, visit Gallery of Fine Art at the Bellagio, the Las Vegas Art Museum, or see a huge auto collection at the Imperial Palace. During the day, you can opt for tours for Grand Canyon, Red Rock Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Hoover Dam, Hidden Valley, Bootleg Canyon Zipline tour, Zion National Park, Lake Mead, Black Canyon River Rafting, Valley of Fire State Park, or Primm Valley tours. Many of these tours can be done in Hummers, ATVs, Polaris RZR S, and Mini Baja Buggy vehicles.

Maui, Hawaii
The first name that comes into our mind while talking about an all-inclusive honeymoon destination are the Hawaiian Islands. Breathtaking and white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, gorgeous resorts, beach and water activities, shopping, dining, national parks, and tons of attractions around Maui, you can't go wrong with this destination. Once you are here, you can just dump your luggage in the hotel, rent a car, and go for a long drive on the Hana Highway to soak in the scenic beauty of the island, see volcanoes like Haleakala, waterfalls, beaches, and secluded caves. At the beaches, you can go scuba diving, surfing, sailing, parasailing, paragliding, take a cruises and helicopter tours over the island, beaches, waterfalls, Hana Rainforest, and volcanoes, hop between the Hawaiian Islands, and even go on whale watching and dolphin watching tours.

Napa Valley, California
Napa Valley is a charming and romantic place for newlyweds who want to have a quiet, less adrenaline-filled honeymoon. With over 300 vineyards spanned across 43,000 acres of land, Napa Valley can be visited in the months of August to November as the weather is perfect at the time. To find better deals on hotels, resorts, and B&Bs, travel during the months of December to March. Take magnificent tours and wine tastings during the day, visit wineries and wine caves, and take a 3-hour train ride from Napa to St. Helena aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train. There are also romantic and tranquil hot air balloon rides and hot springs and spas in the town of Calistoga to be enjoyed.

Naples, Florida
Florida is yet another state where there is no shortage of fun under the sun. Whether you're a seasonal resident of this state or a first-time visitor, Naples, Florida is a gorgeous city to spend your honeymoon in. Naples offers a tranquil vacation where the beaches stretch for miles and miles. But don't think that the visit is going to be boring. With so many attractions, you won't even know when the day began and ended. New York City, New York
New York City is a place that's on almost everyone's travel list. Now even if you've been to the Big Apple many times, it can't hurt to explore the city with the one you love. From award-winning Broadway shows to unknown (yet marvelous) wine bars and cafs to expensive and moderately-priced restaurants, the city is full of life and has something new to offer each time. The best times to travel to the city are the months in Spring and Fall. However, if you've never been to the city, it can be an overwhelming experience. So we suggest that you do your research before making your decision. The reason is, there's so much to see that there can be times when you feel like you're missing out on something else. The obvious tourist spots here are Times Square, Central Park, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Chelsea Market, The American Museum of Natural History, Ellis Island Immigration Museum, Grand Central Terminal, the American Falls, Brooklyn Bridge, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rockefeller Center, Staten Island Ferry, and the Yankee Stadium. There are many tours available across the city that will cater to travelers' preferences. There are many famous restaurants, clubs, and street vendors around the city. You can also visit the Bronx Zoo, Downtown Manhattan, National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center, Prospect Park, Apollo Theater, Coney Island, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Santa Fe, New Mexico
Santa Fe is famous for their gorgeous, brown adobe architecture that merges so well with the desert landscape. The best times to visit Santa Fe are during the peak season (June to October) or the off-season (November to March). The city is ideal for couples who love art, culture, history, and sightseeing activities. Visit the Plaza (known as the Heart of the city) to find magnificent museums, historic buildings, galleries, restaurants, and shopping areas. After New York City, Santa Fe has the world's largest art market on Canyon Road with over 250 galleries. Also not to be missed is the St. Francis Cathedral which has three unique architectural styles - Adobe, Romanesque, and Modern. You can go camping or for a picnic in the Hyde Memorial Park, visit the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture which is home to a collection of 42,000 pieces of Indian culture, climb the spiral staircase of Loretto Chapel, visit the Allan Houser Sculpture Gardens, or go to the historic Lensic Theater in downtown Santa Fe.

Sedona, Arizona
When couples love the outdoor life and indulge in nature's glory, places like Sedona are perfect for them. Known as 'Red Rock Country', Sedona has a rich history in archaeology. The city is home to the picturesque red-rock monoliths called Coffeepot, Cathedral, and Thunder Mountain, Oak Creek Canyon where you can swim, hiking trails, and Verde Valley. Although you can visit the city year-round, the peak seasons are from March to May and September to mid-December, while January to mid-February are the more affordable months. There are magnificent hotels, resorts, B&Bs, and lodges available. You can spend the day golfing, hiking, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, and river rafting, or go on Grand Canyon tour (via helicopter), jeep tour, visit the art galleries (Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Shopping Village) and theater, or relax at some of the finest spas.

U.S. Virgin Islands
Known as 'America's Caribbean Paradise', U.S. Virgin Islands are home to pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and an amazing weather. These islands are a better bet to visit if you don't wish to travel too far to experience the Caribbean. There are many private villas, luxury hotels, and beachfront resorts that newlyweds love to stay in. You can visit any of the main islands - St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas; there are many smaller islands as well. The ideal months to visit the islands are from February to August as the rainy season lasts from September to January. In St. Croix, you can night dive with seahorses, take a horseback ride through the rainforest, ride a bike through the island, kayak the Salt River, and snorkel with parrotfish and blue tangs. In St. John, you can hike or take a boat ride through the Reef Bay Trail and snorkel or snuba dive (underwater hike) in Trunk Bay. As for St. Thomas, you can enjoy Magens Bay, one of the world's most beautiful beaches, golf, or dive in the Undersea Observatory.
Going on a honeymoon doesn't mean you have to fly halfway across the world. Explore your options and plan an intimate honeymoon that fits your budget.
