Disney World is a favorite vacation destination of many travelers across the world, especially for families with small children. The amazing World of Mickey and company, located just outside Orlando, Florida invites scores of people in every age group. So, in case you haven't already been to Disney World, you might have a very good reason to visit this enchanting theme park now. However, travelers to Disney World must keep themselves informed about various aspects of their tour such as when and how to book tickets, timings of various theme parks, any upcoming special events etc., before scheduling their vacation. However, the most important of these aspects is the time at which you plan your visit.

What is the Best Time to Visit Disney World

It is not possible to pinpoint a single month of year as best season to visit Disney World. You may have to schedule your travel as per your preferences and budget. For instance if you are a budget conscious traveler, then you might want to choose an off season for your travel.

Peak Season
The peak season for Disney World begins from late June to August. As schools are closed for summer holidays, most families choose to pick this time of the year. Besides, the weather is summery in Florida. So, most northerners who wish to bask in Floridian sun head towards Disney World. During the peak season, one can enjoy maximum rides, extended park timings and various special events and parades. Although, the heat and humidity can be a problem for some people, the water parks may provide some relief from soaring mercury. You will also be greeted by a thunderstorm which is a daily routine in Florida during summers. Although peak season sounds a lot of fun it also means a lot of crowd and long queues at the rides. Moreover, accommodation and food cost may also rise as, this season means business to resorts and restaurants. Nonetheless, if you wish to experience Disney World in its full swing, then this is the best time to visit it.

Holiday Season
Holidays are also a busy time for Mickey and his friends at Disney World. In fact, Very Merry Christmas Parade at Magic Kingdom is world famous. Besides, Disney Hollywood Studios has the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing lights, which is a bright and colorful event. Epcot's Candlelight Processional is yet another Disney World attraction during Christmas. During holiday season, the parks remain open until late night. You can enjoy special rides and magnificent display of fireworks everyday from Thanksgiving until after Christmas. As the winter in Florida is mild enough, you may only need to carry a light jacket or sweatshirt.

Off Season
If you wish to avoid crowds, then off-season is the best time to visit Disney World. This means, you will need to avoid the crowded months of July, August as well as November December. One should avoid visiting the park in January, February as many rides are closed down for maintenance after the busy holiday season. Besides, water activities in winter may not be a very bright idea. The park also closes early during this time. As the park is understaffed during off season, you may still have to wait for rides. Nonetheless, you can find resorts at discounted rates as this is the cheapest time to go to Disney World. The months of September and October are also ideal for off season travelers.

Pleasant Season
If you are looking for some great weather, then the months of March, April and May are ideal for you. The weather is pleasantly cool yet sunny. You can take advantage of Spring and Easter breaks around this time. The parks are crowded, but not to their full capacity. In that sense, early June is also a good time as the park gears up for peak season. Star Wars Weekends in June and the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival in spring are some events in this season.

In short, you can visit Disney World at any time of the year depending upon your own taste. If you do not mind crowds and budget is not a problem for you then peak season or holiday season is best time for you to visit this enchanting wonderland.
