Obtain a travel agent certification or some other kind proof of you working with a travel-related business. Take courses that specialize in training travel agents. Look for online programs that offer travel agent certification if you are not certified.
2Check to see that you meet all the criteria according to the Travel Agent Handbook. Things like codes of practice, code of reservations ethics and other guidelines are traits that travel agents should practice in their day to day dealings.
3Complete an application form and pay the accreditation fee. Visit the IATA website to print out an application form.
4Send in your application and all fees required. Include all the necessary documents required.
5Receive contact alerting you that you are now a recognized travel agent. Become familair with the IATA agency rules.
