Experiencing a cruise is the dream of many people in the world and I feel it is the moral and ethical responsibility of the cruise owners to make the people feel like they are in a dream world who are spending a fortune to be on the cruise and there are very few who can do that successfully. There were two ships that were contending to win the competition- one was Queen Mary 2 and freedom Of the Sea but the latter emerges as a clear winner. In this article I aim to write about the same largest cruise ship in the world but believe me it is really difficult to write about since writing comes after one gets over the awe which is again next to impossible. I could not believe that I was actually having a look at what is supposed to be the interior of a "ship" since it almost looked like some uptown area of Los Angeles.

Let me tell you the name of the largest cruise ship in the world. The wondrous thing is called Freedom of the Seas . It is the largest and the most innovative piece of luxury and beauty combined with the advanced naval engineering features that could exist on Earth's surface. If I tell you all about the features and privileges that you enjoy on this cruise ship, you would certainly pardon the comprehensible hyper excitement in me.

Features of "Freedom of the Sea"
  • It is a ship by the Royal Caribbean group and its weight is almost 154,000 tons and it will remain the largest cruise ship until the Genesis starts sailing in 2009, which is supposed to be somewhere, around 220,000 ton and as they say "the bigger the better".
  • Freedom of the Seas is the largest passenger vessel in the world and can accommodate approximately 4,300 passengers apart from somewhere around 1300 crew members, which started out on its maiden voyage on June 4th, 2006.
  • The ship has three swimming pools and the first ever-onboard surf park. There are two cantilevered whirlpools that are extended out of the ship's sides. There are interactive sculpture fountains, ground geysers and cascading waterfall.
  • There is a coffee shop, Sorrento's Pizzeria, Ben and Jerry's ice cream and Vintage's Winery that makes feel at home away from home. There is a pub as well as many duty free shops that make you feel so blessed when you take a walk around the ship.
  • There is something as unbelievable as a rock climbing wall and Flowrider that is a generator for surfing. A golf course and a proper basketball court on the thirteenth deck of the ship. There is an ice skating rink as well.
  • There is a casino inside and various ways to keep you entertained on board. You are connected to the whole of the world since mobile connectivity is also available.
  • A luxury suite of Freedom on the Sea has a television set, a private whirlpool and a piano apart from a wet bar.
These facts about the cruise ship are fantasizing and mind-boggling. It has thirty lifesaving boats and it spends around $1 million everyday for its operation. It has somewhere around 75,000 light bulbs and consumes fuel that measures up to somewhere around 28,000 pounds. It started its first voyage towards Mexico, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands and on this voyage rooms were priced at somewhere around $1,900 to $22,000. There are some gastronomic facts, which are completely freaked out like the ship on a weeklong cruise actually offers a palate of around 234,000 appetizers and 300,680 desserts.
