How to Carry Travel Documents

While rushing to the airplane or cruise ship for your vacation, your wallet can easily be stolen or misplaced. Knowing how to keep your travel documents safe with a neck-strapped document holder, leg safe or waist pack can keep your journey a lot less stressful.

Instructions

Travel Document Holder

    1

Place your identification card in the front sleeve of the document holder. Each time a security officer asks for your identification, you can flash your card without having to remove it from a purse or wallet.

    2

Insert some money behind your identification card. The money will be hidden behind the identification, but is easily available for last-minute shopping.

    3

Place your tickets, passports and all other important documents into the document holder's primary sleeve. Most document holders have Velcro sleeves; unlatch the Velcro, position the documents for easy access, and then latch the Velcro.

    4

Adjust the document holder's strap to your height and weight. Place the strap over your neck and rest the holder closely against your chest or side.

Leg Safe

    5

Pull the leg safe up and over your sock. Turn the safe so that the zipper is facing forward.

    6

Unzip the safe's zipper, and place your essentials into the pocket. Put the larger documents, such as your tickets and passport, in the pocket first, then add smaller items in front, such as your identification cards and money.

    7

Zip the leg safe, and lower your pant leg to conceal it.

Waist Pack

    8

Place your money and identification cards into the smaller pouch. Position the cash behind the identification card for fast access.

    9

Place your tickets, passports and other essentials into the primary, larger pocket, and zip both pockets up.

    10

Place the pack at your hip and latch the pack's straps. Turn the pack until it is facing forward. Pull your shirt over the pack so it is hidden.
