Located on the famous French Riviera, Nice is a southeastern town in France near the border of Italy. From Paris, it takes about a half a day to reach Nice by train. Many people opt for overnight trains to sleep through the trip and wake up in a whole other part of the country. While in Nice, quick side trips to Italy can also be arranged via Eurail, buses or car rentals.
