How to Dress for Airplane Travel

Airplane travel can be crazy and hectic enough without you having to worry about what you're wearing onto the plane. Unfortunately you do have to think a little bit about what you wear for airplane travel. Make sure that you're dressed correctly in order to avoid any problems or issues. If you are going to be traveling by airplane, here are some tips on how to dress.

Instructions

    1

Wear comfortable shoes that can easily slip on and off. Forget about the knee high boots or the high heels that have tons of straps on them that it takes you a while just to remove them. Opt for wearing ballet flats or sneakers instead. Although flip-flops may seem like a good idea, it may be chilly on the plain and your feet could get cold.

    2

Wear lightweight pants that aren't restricting and that won't have the waistband digging into you at your waist. Instead of wearing jeans, opt for drawstring pants or dress pants that are soft, comfortable and won't wrinkle.

    3

Make sure that you have comfortable underwear on. Many people just think about what they're wearing on the outside of their underwear, but forget about what they have to wear under their clothes when that is what is going to be stuck on the body. Put on underwear that won't shift or bunch and that is made of comfortable, breathable fabric. You could be stuck on a plane for hours, most of that time stuck in one seat, the last thing you want to do is to be shifting around trying to adjust your uncomfortable underwear. Wearing comfortable underwear will make it a more pleasant plane ride.

    4

Bring a coverup with you for the plane ride. It can get quite chilly for the plane ride, so if you're wearing a sleeveless shirt you may get cold. If you bring a coverup such as a comfortable zip up sweater, you can easily take it off and put it back on as you please. Tie the sweater around your waist or tie it onto your carry on luggage instead of putting it in the luggage itself. It will only take up space and be a hassle to get out when you need it.

    5

Women should avoid wearing long hair up in anything but a ponytail. After you're stuck on a plane for hours, your hair can look anything but pretty. If you wear your hair up for the plane ride, your hair not only has the potential to become frizzy and messy, but it will also be uncomfortable as you will be unable to completely put your head down on the headrest because all of your hair is up and in the way. If you wear it in a pony tail, you can move it out of the way. If you have your hair down, even better.
