RBC, the Royal Bank of Canada, issues a credit card that allows customers to earn and redeem points for travel and merchandise. Hotels, car rentals, cruises, vacation packages and airline tickets are all possible awards with this system. With Avion points, you can book tickets on any airline or at any hotel without blackout dates. Customers can use Avion points only by calling the RBC customer service travel center.

Log-in to your RBC Visa account online using your credit card number and password to check how many points you have accumulated.
2Search the RBC rewards catalog to find the travel award you would like and calculate the number of points you will need. 100 Avion points are worth $1 Canadian.
3Call the RBC Rewards Travel Redemption Center at 1-877-636-2870 to schedule an award. As of November 2010, the call center is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST Monday through Friday. The center closes at 6 p.m. EST on Saturdays and is closed all day on Sunday.
4Provide your RBC Avion credit card number to the agent.
5Tell the agent what award you'd like to receive with your Avion points and how much it costs.
