How to Travel With a Suit on an Airplane

Air travel can be hectic, intimidating and frustrating. Proper packing and preparation is key. Traveling on an airplane with a suit can present additional problems. Rather than just tossing your suit into your bag and hoping it doesn't wrinkle, there are easy ways to keep it looking sharp without having to get it pressed upon arrival.

Instructions

    1

Wear your suit onto the airplane. This works if you are only bringing one suit. Rather than worrying about messing up the suit or wrinkling your trousers, simply wear your suit with style when you board the plane. The suit will look great when you arrive and you will free up space in your suitcase.

    2

Pack multiple suits into your suitcase if you are checking a bag. Fold the pants in half vertically, with one leg over the other one.

    3

Roll the pants up - starting from the ankle. Rolling the pants keeps the legs from wrinkling and saves space.

    4

Button the jacket and fold its arms across the front. Place the jacket flat on top of your suitcase if possible. If you're unable, fold the jacket in half being sure to bring the collar down over the bottom.
