How to Create A4 Size Travel Brochures with Word

Whether youve been tasked with creating a brochure to support your local chamber of commerce, or with designing a promotional piece for your foreign studies class, sometimes detailing information on an interesting travel location requires an interesting way to produce the information itself. If youve chosen an A4 size for your travel brochure, let Microsoft Word help you by finding an appropriate template to work with.

Instructions

    1

Open Microsoft Word, pull down the File menu and click New. When the New Document pane opens, type brochure into the Search online for box and click Go. You can be more specific, such as travel brochure, Miami brochure or island brochure, but youll get fewer results.

    2

Scroll through the brochure templates, click a link to preview one, and choose the Download button to open the brochure in the Word workspace.

    3

Pull down the File menu, click Page Setup and then the Paper tab. Type 11.7-inches by 8.3-inches as your dimensions. Click OK and the brochure automatically adjusts on the screen.

    4

Highlight a placeholder headline on the brochure, then type directly over the top of it with your own information. Repeat this to change all of the headings on the brochure.

    5

Click and highlight the text underneath one of the headlines, then type information about the travel location.

    6

Select a placeholder image on the brochure, then press the Delete key. Pull down the Insert menu, click Picture, and select From File. Browse to a location on your computer with an image from your travel spot.

    7

Highlight the placeholder contact information on the brochure and type over it with your own details.
