Explain how the quote or statistical information that you used to open your proposal relates to your need to travel. Open the following paragraphs with a reason from step one, starting with your strongest one. Explain and elaborate on each reason, developing your argument.

Write down a detailed account of your plans of how you will use your time during your travel. Explain how you think this experience will allow you to grow intellectually or artistically and how it will influence your future and plans.

Re-read your proposal. Correct any spelling or grammar issues. Look for phrases that seem hackneyed and change or remove them. Remember, your proposal may be one in hundreds, so you don't want to use phrases that other candidates might have also used.
