Planning a trip to Uncle Sam's country? That is a fantastic idea! Have you made the itinerary yet? Let me guess. Are you bowled over thinking of what places you must see in USA? Well, no wonder, because there are so many to visit that it is actually a stumbling block. Moreover, it is not just one category. There is a wide array of tourist attractions in USA and it also gives you a lot of scope to explore 'off the beaten path' places as well. Are you ready then for a trip?

National Parks

Yosemite National Park
One of the first wilderness parks in the USA, this park has several waterfalls. In fact that is the factor which it is so well-known for. Yosemite National Park is located in east central California and reaches across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada. Breathtaking granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, Giant Sequoia groves, and biological diversity are the USP of this park.

Yellowstone National Park
Located in Wyoming, this park offers Old Faithful Geyser, Grand Prismatic Spring and Mammoth hot spring and many other geographic features. It is on the list of all 851 heritage sites. This was one of the first national parks in the world. Yellowstone National Park covers an area of 3,468square miles

Redwood National Park
This park consists of coastal Redwood old-growth forests and it is located in California, along the northern coast. Go to this park for getting intimidated by some of the tallest and massive tree species on earth.

There are many more other national parks in USA, which can be included in the category. To name a few, they are Rocky Mountain National Park, Denali National Park Olympic National Park and Valley Forge National Historic Park. These are the places where the nature's bounty is at its prime and in full splendor.

  • Miami - Do I need say that Miami is known for its beach?
  • San Diego - Go the Mexican way
With umpteen more cities which can be mentioned here, if all those have to be mentioned, a book can result! Nevertheless, we are still not done, so hang on!

Attractions

Grand Canyon
Situated in Grand Canyon National Park, the Grand Canyon is steep-sided gorge carved by the Colorado River in Arizona. Havasu Falls and Havasupai Falls are the most popular attractions in this area.

Times Square
One of the most popular and must see sites in USA, Times Square is in New York, undoubtedly the most exciting cities in the world. Theater, Broadway, fine dining and great city scape , you name it and it has it.

National Mall
A number of America's most legendary landmarks are in Washington DC, which includes the famous Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. The National and Memorial parks also house some of the oldest protected parks in the US and these are stunning, especially in the fall, when the parks are covered with awesome shades of reds, golds and browns.

Empire State Building
A 102-story landmark Art Deco skyscraper in New York City, at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street, this is named after nickname of New York, Empire State.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial
The Iron Mountain road is one of the main attractions here, along with the sculptured faces carved in the granite of Mount Rushmore. It features sculptures of the heads of former United States presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln from left to right.

Kennedy Space Center
This is one of the most advanced space centers installed by the USA government which manages and operates America's astronaut launch facilities. It serves as the base for the country's three space shuttles.

Brooklyn Bridge
One of the oldest suspension bridges, this spectacular Brooklyn attraction was built in 1883, that connects New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Statue of Liberty
How can you miss this iconic statue amongst the must see sights in USA? Statue of Liberty stands tall on Liberty Island, it has been built as a memory of the American Civil War. Statue of Liberty Museum is another attraction here in this area.

Of course, you cannot forget Disneyland and Hollywood and many others! Poof! I am absolutely exhausted mentioning about these. I am still not done, but as they say, all good things come to an end! Hope, you visit these places and have a ball of time!
