    Plan to leave from Brussels. This main train hub offers the most convenient travel to The Netherlands. If your departure city happens to lie on the route between Belgium and The Netherlands, then the fares will be slightly cheaper.

    Travel on a more leisurely timetable. There are frequent InterCity trains from Brussels to Amsterdam that do not require a seat reservation, which allows for more flexible travel. Expect about three hours of train travel from Brussels.
