Plan Your Train Travel

    Plan how you'll get to Oslo or Trondheim in Norway. Train travel from Norway to Sweden departs from these cities only. You can check an interactive rail map for Norway to find information on routes to Oslo and Trondheim.

    Decide which cities you want to depart from and arrive at. Train routes go from Oslo to Stockholm and from Trondheim to Lilletsorm or Ostersund in Sweden.

Book Your Train Travel

    Book your train travel in advance at any train station in Norway. You can make reservations within 60 days of your trip.

    To book accommodations, contact Eurail at 1-866-638-7245 or visit their Web site (see Resources, below). You can book travel within 5 to 60 days of your departure date.

Choose a Railway Class

    Go Economy class. You'll get a standard leisure seat and access to a bar and dining car where food and beverages may be purchased. Economy class tickets are 100 percent exchangeable and refundable up to 10 days before date of departure.

    Choose Freedom class. You'll have access to the same amenities that economy class passengers do, and you'll be able to exchange your ticket or get a full refund up to 3 days before departure.

    Go for comfort. Comfort class passengers get access to larger, reclining first class seats and sleeper (shared compartment) accommodations on overnight trips. Tickets are refundable and exchangeable up to 10 days before departure.

    Choose comfort and flexibility. Comfort Flexi class offers the same amenities that Comfort class does, along with the ability to exchange tickets or get a full refund up to 3 days before departure.
