There's so much to think about when traveling with a baby: diapers, extra clothes, toys, pacifiers...the list goes on and on. The last thing you need to worry about is getting detained by airport security for not carrying your baby's milk formula in accordance with the Transportation Security Administration's regulations. To avoid any problems or delays, here's what you need to do:
Instructions
- 1
Put as much formula as your baby needs for the trip in a quart-size, zip-lock plastic bag. Make sure the bag of formula is kept separate from other gels or liquids in your carry-on luggage.
2Inform the officer at the security checkpoint that you are carrying formula.
3Present the bag of formula to the security officers at the X-ray machines. Additional screening of the formula may occur.
