Travel Humidor Directions

Aficionados recognize the need for properly storing their cigars in a humidor, where the relative humidity is controlled. Travelers often include cigars on their packing lists. Travel humidors are available in various sizes to accommodate from two to 15 or more cigars. Travel humidors provide a safe means of transporting fine cigars while keeping them properly humidified for enjoyment.

Instructions

    1

Open the travel humidor and locate the humidification disc in the top. Pull the disc from the inside of the humidor.

    2

Remove the top from a container of distilled water. Hold a medicine dropper, squeeze the bulb end and draw distilled water into the dropper tube.

    3

Place six to eight drops of water onto the humidification disc. Place the drops on the foam or other absorbent material on the inside of the disc. Put the disc back into the travel humidor.

    4

Place cigars in the travel humidor. Carry only the number of cigars for which the humidor is designed. Place only five cigars, for example, into a case designed for five. Do not overload the humidor.

    5

Open and close the lid on the travel humidor as quickly as possible. Remember that the controlled atmosphere in the humidor must be re-established each time that it is opened.
