How to Mount an LCD TV in a Travel Trailer

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) televisions are considered the perfect entertainment partner for recreational vehicles (RV). Because of their slim designs and the guarantee to take up as little space as possible, they would fit perfectly in the case of RV Travel Trailers where maximization of space is placed at a premium. When installing an LCD TV in a travel trailer, it's necessary that you are following proper directions to mount it and ensure the LCD TV is secured properly to avoid the rough handling it could go through during an RV's travel.

Instructions

    1

Select a wall location that is both durable and free of any obstructions for which you will be placing your LCD TV. Consider enough clearance both vertically and horizontally for your LCD TV, especially if your choice of wall mount bracket is a swing-type. To ensure accuracy of space and provisions, measure the area and determine the placement of the wall mount and mark this off with a pencil.

    2

Assemble the wall mount bracket as indicated by its manufacturer's directions. Proper focus on its assembly should be ensured as this bracket will be the sole holder of your LCD TV and the fine line between sturdiness and accident depends on its durability. Once done, install the newly assembled bracket on the selected location based on the measurements made.

    3

Use the directions provided by the wall mount bracket instructions manual to attach the LCD TV on the now-secured bracket.

    4

Test the maneuverability of the LCD TV. Before screwing all the nuts and bolts in their final position, test out the now-attached LCD TV and the wall bracket. This is especially important for the swing-out type of wall mount brackets. In this manner, you will be able to see the extent and reach of the LCD TV as mounted on the wall brackets and will be able to make any final adjustments and movements before the installation is made final and permanent.

    5

Screw all the nuts and bolts in their final position to now secure the mounted LCD television. Also verify the bolts and nuts to make sure they are in place and are bolted down to prevent any accident during movement of the travel trailer.
